AARON NEVEZIE

Making records has been an obsession for me for many years and I’ve been lucky enough to work with a bunch of incredibly talented people in that time. Creating music should be a fun collaborative process while creating a viable product for each artist. As a producer, mixer or tracking engineer my aim is to help my clients realize their musical vision and hopefully exceed their expectations sonically and creatively.

Recorded magic can happen in a number of ways. I love the energy of a group of musicians playing together in a room and the vibe that can bring a record. I’m just as excited about a electronic track with programmed beats, synth textures and processed vocals. My favorite music brings the acoustic and electronic worlds together using diverse elements to create a surprising new whole. Finding the right approach for a project is part of the excitement of working with each artist, and the process of discovery is sometimes as important as the end result.

Some of the artists I have worked with as producer include Black Taxi, White Prism, Ryal, The City and Horses, Tama Waipara, Esther Stephens. I’ve also tracked/mixed great jazz musicians including Dave Douglas, Charlie Hunter, Jeremy Pelt, Ben Allison, Wayne Krantz, Jim Campilongo, Now Vs Now, Steve Turre, Vijay Iyer, and many more.
